      • Z-Toonz Karaoke

Karaoke originated in Japan in the 1970s as a form of entertainment in bars and clubs. The word "karaoke" comes from the Japanese words "kara," which means empty, and "oke," which is short for "okesutura," meaning orchestra. The first karaoke machine was invented by a Japanese musician named Daisuke Inoue, who saw an opportunity to create a machine that could play instrumental tracks for people to sing along to.

Karaoke quickly became popular in Japan, and by the 1980s, it had spread to other parts of Asia and eventually to the United States and Europe. In the early days, karaoke machines used cassette tapes or laser discs to play the instrumental tracks, but with the advent of digital technology, karaoke machines now use digital files and can be connected to the internet for access to an almost limitless number of songs.

Today, karaoke is enjoyed by millions of people around the world, both in bars and clubs and in the comfort of their own homes. It has become a staple of parties and social gatherings and has even spawned competitions and TV shows dedicated to the art of karaoke. Our Z-Toonz Karaoke offers a hybrid blend of regular music in-between karaoke spots so that there is not stop music (either a singer or a song is always playing).

      • How It Works

        1

        Arrival/Greeting

After arriving and setting up our gear, our K-DJ will greet participants and share the Karake catalog with them. This is an online catalog of over 47,000 songs.

Our K-DJ is also a Certified Public Speaker and will conduct all announcements required by the venue.

        2

        Start to Sing

Guests can use our mobile app to request to sing and pick their song from the catalog.

All songs and requests become the queue. Our K-DJ will even locate songs that might not even be in the catalog for those rare requests.

        3

        Waiting for Singers

Music plays consistently. There is not awkward silence while we are waiting for singers.

Typical music would match the theme and desires of the location. We can play what you want us to play.
